Mouser Electronics Now Stocking Espressif's ESP32-WROVER-B Wi-Fi and BLE Module with Added Memory
Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now stocking the ESP32-WROVER-B wireless module from Espressif Systems. The powerful Wi-Fi and dual-mode Bluetooth® wireless module targets applications ranging from low-power sensor networks to demanding tasks such as voice encoding, music streaming, and MP3 decoding.
The Espressif ESP32-WROVER-B wireless module, available from Mouser Electronics, is based on the high-performance, low-power Espressif ESP32-D0WD 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth low energy system-on-chip (SoC). The two CPUs at the core of the ESP32-D0WD are individually controllable and feature adjustable clock frequency from 80 MHz to 240 MHz. The SoC also integrates a rich set of peripherals, including capacitive touch sensors, Hall sensors, SD card interface, Ethernet, high-speed SPI, UART, I²S, and I²C.
The ESP32-WROVER-B module is available with either a PCB antenna or an IPEX antenna connector and up to 16 MBytes of external SPI flash with an additional 8 MBytes of SPI pseudo static RAM (PSRAM). The module combines 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth low energy technologies to ensure unparalleled connectivity in a range of applications. The ESP32-WROVER-B module can function as a beacon, broadcasting its identifier via Bluetooth low energy to portable electronic devices within a maximum radius of 50 meters.
The ESP32-WROVER-B module runs FreeRTOS with a lightweight internet protocol (LwIP) plus TLS 1.2 with hardware acceleration built in. The module is Bluetooth certified and also includes regulatory certifications to FCC, CE, IC, TELEC, KCC, SRRC, and NCC.
