MPD’s lithium battery retainer has four SMD leads to solder and is made of nickel-plated phosphor bronze
Part number BK-6219 is an addition to MPD's retainer family and is designed for 20 mm diameter batteries. Its slim profile offers a 23% narrower width than other competing designs. A low-cost alternative to traditional battery holders, coin cell retainers do a great job of price versus performance.
Dual pressure contacts offer low electrical resistance and are optimized to keep a tight connection with the battery. Shock and vibration resistant per EIA-364 assures designers of trouble-free use in typical applications. The battery is easily changed without tools or instructions due to the intuitive design, and the narrow width contributes to the ease of removal. It is sized at 22.1 mm length by 15.6 mm width and just 3 mm high.
Typical lithium coin cells used in the BK-6219 retainer include the ever popular BR2025, CR2025, and DL2025 batteries. Rechargeable types include ML2025, VL2025, and LIR2025 batteries. The BK-6219 also accepts other types of batteries with a similar size and shape.
