Mouser Electronics Now Stocking Analog Devices ADF5610 Wideband Synthesizer with Ultra-Low Phase Noise
Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now stocking the ADF5610 wideband synthesizer with an integrated voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) from Analog Devices, Inc.
The ADF5610 delivers exceptional performance and flexibility and is ideal for diverse market applications such as aerospace and defense, wireless infrastructure, microwave point-to-point links, electronic test and measurement, and satellite terminals.
The Analog Devices ADF5610, available from Mouser Electronics, is a wideband fractional-N synthesizer that generates RF outputs from 57 MHz to 14.6 GHz and with very low phase noise performance. Compared to solutions that require multiple narrowband GaAs voltage controlled oscillators and phase-locked loops (PLLs), the ADF5610 offers 50 percent less power dissipation, smaller footprint, and simpler architecture, which translates into bill of materials cost savings and reduced time to market.
Developed on Analog Devices' proprietary advanced silicon-germanium (SiGe) BiCMOS process, the ADF5610 enables low bit error rates. The integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) function provides fast frequency hopping and lock times (less than 50 µs when configured properly, including an appropriate loop filter).
The ADF5610 is fully supported by the ADIsimPLL™, Analog Devices' comprehensive and easy-to-use PLL synthesizer design and simulation tool for assessing phase noise, lock time, jitter and other design considerations. The device is also customer programmable through the use of integrated SPI interface and control software.
