Despite the development of semiconductor solutions, electromagnetic relays remain one of the most popular switching elements in many control circuits. The Omron brand, specializing in these types of components, offers products that are not only versatile but also designed for high-power circuits.
The range of Omron products in the TME catalog includes – literally – thousands of products. Below we present a small selection of this assortment: power relays designed with the most demanding applications in mind. These solutions are characterized by good electrical characteristics, resistance, and durability, but also compact design. They are primarily intended for the construction of devices such as: inverters, charging controllers, or renewable energy circuit controllers.
Omron Power Relays
Electromagnetic Relays for Power Engineering
The presented offer includes relays of the G9KC, G7EB, G9KA series, and miniature G6QG components. Their distinguishing feature is handling high currents in AC circuits, where the voltage reaches up to 1kV. Depending on the series, the maximum contact current ranges from 40A to 300A. These parameters were achieved through the use of materials with very low resistance, even 5mΩ. Moreover, it is worth noting that all products can operate in a wide temperature range, from -40°C to 85°C. Selected models also feature resistance to impulses up to 10kV.

These relays are available in versions equipped with coils powered by 12V or 24V DC. Combined with high switching parameters, this makes the presented products excellently meet the needs of devices such as industrial inverters, as well as emergency power supplies (UPS) and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. They are also suitable for photovoltaic circuits, as components of controllers, converters, energy banks, etc.
It should also be emphasized that Omron products are varied in terms of design. The presented assortment includes relays mounted directly on PCB (in through-hole technology, THT). Available contact configurations are SPST and 4PST.
